We are readers who love to travel. We make time to travel to a 'literary' destination each summer as well going to plays, movies, and exhibits together. Our group came together by way of our favorite book, the Bible, and our relationships at church. We read almost any kind of book, even some once banned books (like the Bible). Wow! New Orleans sounds like a jackpot of literary sightseeing for our book club. It would be a longer trip than our previous trips but I would consider it. I've been there a couple of times but not since the hurricane destruction. The French Quarter is probably in good condition. Not sure about the Garden District, but I'd like to tour that area. Sounds like fun.
New Orleans can be lots of fun. Like Karen, I have not been since Katrina. It sounds like there are several authors associated with New Orleans to choose from.
