In Response to Kaye's Request

Those of us who went to PTC were very impressed with the authors. Each author spoke briefly, then read from some of his or her work. After that, there was a question and answer session. Following the formal portion of the program, each author was available to sign his or her books.

I think the "wow" moment for us was the reading by Kevin Brockmeier. He read a short story, “A Fable with Slips of White Paper Spilling from the Pockets” from his book The View from the Seventh Layer. You could tell the entire audience was engaged by the story.

I ended up leaving with 5 books!

If you haven't read your email, the selection for November is Flood Summer by local author Trenton Lee Stewart, one of the authors who spoke at PTC. Check your email for all the details.
